As a technician progresses through a job, it’s important to keep the job status up to date. FieldEx allows you to change the job order status to reflect real-time progress. For example: In Progress, Awaiting Materials, On Hold, or Completed.
After completing the job, you can update the status to Completed and include any final remarks to explain delays, outcomes, or next steps. Status options are flexible, so choose the one that best matches the current condition of the job. This helps your team track progress accurately and respond if further action is needed.
Changing Status
Easily change your job order status at the top of the bar according to the current progress.
Open the assigned Job Order.
At the top of the screen, locate the Status field.
Tap the current status and choose a new one from the list that reflects the job's actual progress.
Optionally, add a remark or note to explain the update.
Tap Save to apply the change.
Tip: Keep your job status updated in real time to ensure full visibility for the back office. This helps avoid miscommunication and supports better resource planning. |
Why This Matters
Allows your manager or planner to track job flow and identify blockers.
Improves coordination between technicians and the back office.
Ensures timely follow-ups or customer communication based on actual job progress.
Creates a clear, accurate audit trail for reporting and compliance.
