Once approval is granted for the Requisition or Consignment Note, the inventory transfer process will then begin.

Quick Guide: Bin Transfer Process

Here’s the end to end process of what happens when a user tries to Initiate Bin Transfer

  1. After the approval is granted, the personnel managing the items at the current location will be prompted with a button to initiate the bin transfer.

  2. Once the Initiate Bin Transfer button is clicked, the requestor will receive a notification confirming that the request has been approved and the transfer process has begun.

    • The Requisition or Consignment Note status will automatically update to Transfer Pending, making it easy to identify requests awaiting transfer

  3. The managing group of the destination bin will then be notified that a transfer is awaiting their approval.

    • Notifications are sent via the mobile app and web in-app notifications

    • Both platforms support approving or rejecting the transfer

  4. The managing group may either Accept the transfer or Reject it, providing a reason for the rejection.

    • If a transfer was Rejected:

      1. There are no changes to the asset or part’s location

      2. The Requisition or Consignment Note status will automatically update to Transfer Rejected

    • Once the transfer has been Accepted or Approved:

      1. The system will automatically update the location of the asset accordingly

      2. The Requisition or Consignment Note status will automatically update to Transfer Fulfilled
