FieldEx has the flexibility to add products and assets to both location and user bins, providing a comprehensive solution for organizing your inventory, managing stock levels, and movement activity.
Store managers can issue parts to specific technicians so that they can track what each technician carries and are critical for job planning, stock assignments, and transfers. When Admins give technicians "User Bin Access", FieldEx automatically creates a personal virtual bin:
Technician Jane → BIN-JANE
Van C Team → BIN-VCREW
Adding by User
Path: Inventory > Bins > Users Tab > Add Products/Assets to Bin
The approach for adding products and assets by user mirrors the process used for adding by Location, only in this case, you need to conduct a search using the user to locate their bin.
If a user bin does not show up in the search, they likely have not had a bin created for them yet. To create a bin for a user, please do so in the inventory setup (see prerequisites).
