Standard Notifications

FieldEx allows you to manage default system notifications for the entire organization as well as customize them per user. This gives admins control over how alerts are sent both in-app and by email.

Tip: Use organization-wide settings for broad rules, and per-user settings for fine-tuning who should get what.

Organization-Wide Notification Settings


Path: Setup > Configuration > Notifications

  • This controls default notifications for all users across modules.

  • By default, notifications are enabled for all users.

  • Important: Disabling from here affects the entire account, turning off notifications (in-app and email) for all users.

Note: Not all standard notifications trigger emails, only specific ones do. You can selectively disable only those that have email options.

User-Specific Notification Settings


Path: Setup > Users > Users > [Select a User] > Notification Tab

  • This lets you turn off notifications for individual users (in-app and/or email) without affecting anyone else.

  • Ideal for cases where one person should not receive alerts, but the rest of the team should continue receiving them.
