The FieldEx Mobile App requires specific device permissions to function correctly and deliver a seamless experience. These permissions ensure that features like job check-in, asset scanning, camera uploads, and real-time notifications work as expected on both Android and iOS devices.

Users must grant these permissions upon app installation or via device settings later, especially if certain features (e.g. scanning or location tracking) appear to be blocked or non-functional.

Useful Pre-requisites

  • Ensure the FieldEx Mobile App is installed from the official App Store or Google Play.

  • Have administrative rights on your device to change permission settings if needed.

  • Reinstall the app if permissions are accidentally denied and cannot be re-enabled via settings.

  • Camera: Enables QR/Barcode scanning and photo capture during jobs.

  • Storage / Files & Media: Allows saving and uploading of photo attachments.

Essential Permissions for iOS
