FieldEx allows Admins to rename modules, fields, and section headers to better match industry terms or internal company language. This improves user understanding, team alignment, and multilingual accessibility.

Customise Module Labels

Path: Setup > Configurations > Labels

1. Select a Module

  • Select the module you want to rename (e.g., Work Order, Site, Preventive Maintenance)

Why This Step Matters: Customizing modules helps teams use language that aligns with internal systems (e.g., calling a “Customer” a “Client”).

2. Edit Module, Field, and Section Labels

Once a module is selected, you can update the following:

  • Module Labels: Rename the module itself (Singular & Plural)

  • Field Labels: Update form fields like Category, External ID, etc.

  • Section Labels: Modify headers inside module detail pages (e.g., General Info)

You may also update these labels across all supported languages to ensure consistency for multilingual teams.

Example Use:

  • Rename the “Site” module to “Branch”

  • Change “Customer Category” to “Client Tier”

  • Shorten “Preventive Maintenance” to “PM Schedule”

Industry Use Case Examples

  • Rental Companies: Rename “Assets” to “Units” and “Job Orders” to “Rental Jobs”

  • Service-Based Teams: Replace “Tasks” with “Assignments” or “Checklist” with “Inspection Form”

  • Multilingual Teams: Maintain consistent translations by customizing terms across all interface languages
