Fulfilling Technician Requests

Quickly respond to field team needs by issuing parts, tools, or supplies directly from your inventory. FieldEx ensures every request is tracked from approval to collection, keeping technicians equipped and jobs moving without delays.

Tip: While you can use the web system, alternatively you can also use the FieldEx Mobile App to instantly approve or reject technician inventory requests, keeping jobs on track and stock under control.

Accept a Transfer


Web Path: Inventory > Transfers > Select Transfer > Accept

Mobile Path: Module > Transfers > Pending Incoming

  • Open the Transfers module

  • Select the incoming transfer

  • Review the items

  • Tap Accept

Once accepted, stock is added to the new bin’s inventory and reflected in stock reports.

Transfer Approval Rules and Access Limitations


FieldEx includes safeguards to ensure inventory movement is controlled and authorised:

  • To initiate a transfer, the user must be either part of the user group or a store manager of the From Bin or To Bin.

  • All transfers must be approved by a store manager before taking effect.

  • If both the Location and the Zone have designated store managers:

    • Approval will be routed to the Zone-level store manager.

    • If the Zone does not have a manager, the Location-level manager will approve.

  • For User Bins, the user assigned to that bin must approve any incoming transfers.

Why This Matters: These rules prevent unauthorised transfers, maintain audit integrity, and ensure accountability in all stock movements.
