How to Add Assets to a Location Bin

What is a Location Bin?

A Location Bin is a designated storage area in a warehouse, site, or facility where assets are placed for tracking and retrieval.

  1. Go to the side bar main menu

  2. Navigate to the Inventory > Bin Module in FieldEx

  3. Click on "Add Assets to Bin"

  4. Select the appropriate Location Bin for storage

  5. Select one or multiple assets to be transferred

  6. Confirm and save the entry

How to View Assets in a Bin


Path: Inventory > Bin

View all assigned assets, their available quantity, and stock details.

  1. Go to the side bar main menu

  2. Navigate to the Inventory > Bin Module in FieldEx

  3. Click on the "Asset" tab

  4. Select the bin you want to inspect

Transferring Assets Between Bins


Path: Inventory > Bin

Types of Asset Transfers

  1. Location Bin → Another Location Bin

  2. Location Bin → User Bin

  3. User Bin → Another User Bin

  4. User Bin → Location Bin

How to Transfer Assets

  1. Go to the side bar main menu

  2. Navigate to the Inventory >Transfer Module in FieldEx

  3. Click on "Transfer by Bin"

  4. Choose the Current Location Bin/User Bin

  5. Choose the Destination Location Bin/User Bin

  6. Click on the "Asset" tab

  7. Select one or multiple Assets to Transfer

  8. Confirm and save the transfer

Rules for Inventory Transfers


  • Assets must be properly assigned to a bin

  • Only authorized users can initiate transfers

  • Transfers should be logged for tracking and audits

Checking Inventory Availability in Each Bin


  1. Navigate to the Inventory Module in FieldEx

  2. Click on "Check availability"

  3. Choose Location or Zone or Bin or User Bin to check stored assets

  4. Click on the "Asset" tab

  5. Search for specific Asset to check its availability
