Asset requisition requests allow teams to formally request equipment that is not yet in their custody. This process is typically used when a technician, site team, or project manager needs to borrow or receive specific assets for use in the field.
When to Raise an Asset Requisition
Use asset requisitions when:
A technician needs a machine or additional parts for a scheduled job
A project site requires additional equipment or parts
You want traceable, approved handover of asset custody
How to Raise a Requisition Request
Path: Inventory → Requisitions → New Request
Steps:
Choose what to request – Select either Spare Parts or Assets.
Select request type – Choose a specific Asset/Spare Part or request by type.
Identify source bin – Locate the Bin where the item is stored and select the items to request.
Select destination bin – Choose the Bin to transfer the items to, and add a Request Note if necessary.
Click Submit
The request will go through the approval process. The approver will be notified, and once approved, they will initiate the transfer. The requester will then see the items in the specified Bin.
What Happens Next
If approvals are enabled: A manager or admin must review and approve the request.
If approved: The approver will initiate the transfer for the asset or part requested.
Once transferred: The asset or parts location are updated automatically.
